A Warm Welcome To Our New Team Member – Matthew Newton

Welcome to our new Recruitment Consultant, Matt Newton! Matt joins us with a fresh perspective and a strong drive to contribute to our mission of Empowering Sustainable Growth. Let’s get to know Matt a little better!

Professional Background:

Most of my working experience has been in the hospitality industry, where I learned a lot about hard work and dealing with difficult people. I loved working in hospitality because it allowed me to build fantastic bonds with those around me. While I enjoyed my time in the industry, I was ready for a new challenge—one that would push me to grow both personally and professionally.

Why I Chose Insight:

When I came across Insight, I knew it was the perfect graduate role for me. I wanted to work somewhere that encouraged learning and development, and Insight's commitment to those values really stood out to me. The potential for career progression and the supportive culture here were also massive selling points. I’m excited to be in an environment where I can grow and excel.

What Resonated with Me:

During the application process, what really resonated with me was Insight’s emphasis on promoting from within. The idea of progressing within the company was incredibly appealing, and the supportive culture embedded within Insight made it an easy decision to join. I could see myself thriving here, and that’s exactly what I was looking for in a company.

How I Plan to Contribute:

Coming straight from university, I bring a fresh perspective that I’m eager to apply in the real world. My brain is full of theories that I’m excited to see in action and, hopefully, implement to contribute to Insight's growth. I believe this combination of academic knowledge and a willingness to learn will help me make a meaningful impact.

My Role at Insight:

My focus at Insight will be on CSA and Civils permanent roles. It’s an entirely new market for me, and that’s what makes it so exciting. The opportunity to learn and grow in this area is something I’m really looking forward to, and I can’t wait to dive in and start making a difference.

What I Bring to the Table:

I think my ability to build rapport and connect with people will be incredibly beneficial in my role. I’m a quick learner, which I believe will help me adapt and succeed in this fast-paced environment. I’m ready to put in the work and see where this journey takes me.

How I Learn Best:

I’ve always been more of a hands-on learner. On-the-job learning has been the best way for me to pick up new skills and knowledge. That said, I appreciate the structured training that Insight offers as well, especially since this is my first graduate role. I’m sure I’ll benefit from a good mix of both.

A Few Fun Facts About Me:

  • Work Playlist: My music taste is pretty eclectic—I tend to bounce around genres. Right now, my work playlist is heavy on Chase & Status and Fontaines D.C., which keeps me energized and in the zone.
  • Interesting Facts: I’m a Crystal Palace fan—someone has to be, right? Also, according to a Google quiz, my spirit animal is a turtle, which makes me feel a bit old, but hey, it could be worse!
  • Long-Term Goals: Over the next five years, I hope to be thriving here at Insight and getting closer to buying my own home.

I’m really excited to be part of the Insight family and look forward to the journey ahead. I can’t wait to see what we’ll achieve together!

We are excited to see Matt grow and contribute to our team, bringing new energy and perspectives to Insight. Welcome aboard, Matt! We look forward to the great things you will achieve with us.
