What is your role at Insight and how did you get here?
I have just started as a Candidate Consultant in the IT division of Insight focusing on the Business Change market. Coming from a basic sales role, I felt it was the right time to make the jump into recruitment. I was recommended by friend who recently joined Insight and thought I would be a good addition to the team!
How do the company values of Insight match up with you personally?
The company value I can relate to most has got to be Driven. From a very young age I’ve wanted to be successful. I am always trying to improve the way I do things so I can achieve more and more.
What does success mean to you?
I have two visions of success, professional success and personal success. Professional success means to make big deals, feel important in your role and actually enjoy what you do. Personal Success means to having the ability to live the life I want to live; driving the luxury cars, living in the big houses, having the designer clothes and eating the fancy foods.
What are your top tips for success?
Keep trying. If nothing is going your way knuckle down and sooner than you think you’ll be cruising.
What’s the best advice you have for anyone on the job hunt?
Be confident! One of the worst things you can be in an interview is shy – especially in sales! Go in there and be yourself, let the interviewer know what you can do and why they should offer you the job!
Give us some Insight Into yourself on a personal level – when you’re not working, what do you enjoy doing?
Outside of work I follow football religiously, holding a season ticket for my team. I also like to keep myself fit so you can always find me in the gym – the heavier the better is how I see it. Finally, my girlfriend and I enjoy going out for meals and caring for our kitten, Bella.
