Insight Into… Chris Talbot. Our Electronic Music Loving EC&I Consultant!
What is your role at Insight and how did you get here?
My main area of focus is EC&I Engineers. I found success early on recruiting Maintenance Engineers within Food & Bev at a different agency so this was a natural transition into a role that offers a wider scope and a greater challenge.
Give us some Insight Into your previous experience within the recruitment industry and what attracted you to working at Insight?
Insight was sold to me on the culture and it hasn’t disappointed. It was immediately clear to me that colleagues’ desire to succeed here comes naturally within an environment where personality is embraced.
How do the company values of Insight match up with you personally?
A key value here at Insight is ‘honesty’ and we’re encouraged to always act with integrity. From a personal perspective, I suppose this closely matches my belief that the best outcomes result from simply being yourself.
What does success mean to you?
To me, success means being an exert in your field. Only then can you become an effective consultant and build genuine relationships that last with both candidates and clients alike.
What are your top tips for success?
Expect it, work hard and it will come. Also try not to go out on Friday AND Saturday!
What’s the best advice you have for anyone looking to get into recruitment?
Give us some Insight Into yourself on a personal level – when you’re not working, what do you enjoy doing?
I spend a lot of my time outside of work writing music – I enjoy writing pop songs for other artists to sing as well as producing my own style of electronic music!
